IMPORT/EXPORT ANALYST III

Job Overview

 

Our objective is to build a world class Global Trade Services organization. The Global Trade Services Import/export analyst will oversee customs related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.  The position will have responsibility for supporting the Americas duty drawback program as a subject matter expert in related trade activities.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for obtaining and analyzing necessary import, export data.  This includes the requirement to extract, review, and update monthly export reports ensuring accurate documentation of part, description, quantity, ship-to, and harmonized tariff schedule data for each duty drawback claim filed with CBP;
• Pull and review historic reconciliation files and ensure that all related reconciliations have been included in each duty drawback claim submission, where applicable.
• Primary contact person (liaison with Duty Drawback Broker) for all issues associated with preparing, filing and liquidation of all duty drawback claims submitted to CBP;
• Support TE’s Drawback Provider including:
o   Handling of large-scale data management, error resolution, and record retention (especially as it relates to proof of exportation)
o   Support Broker in pre-submission internal reviews of TE’s import and export paperwork to ensure accurate filing of duty drawback claims submitted to CBP
o   Assist with any internal or external audits of duty drawback claims submitted to CBP
o   Track duty drawback submissions and anticipated recovery refund amounts received from CBP for each duty drawback claim submitted
• Support HTSUS tariff classification verification activities to support TE’s duty drawback program, as necessary; and
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities related to TE’s duty mitigation programs as may be assigned

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree  required
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred
  • 5+ years in a trade compliance role or other relevant work experiences
  • Experience with US duty mitigations or other CBP programs including: Drawback and use of TFTEA substitute regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Foreign Trade Zones, Value Reconciliation
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets
  • Exceptional written and verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and team with Company personnel and external advisors and government agencies
  • Proficient with SAP, Amber Road Trade Automation, M365, CBP ACE application
