Job Overview

The Data and Devices (DND) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst based out of Harrisburg, PA or the greater Philadelphia region. This position will report to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. A key focus of the role will be supporting the FP&A team in developing and communicating forecasts and variances and applying analytical tools in support of decision making.

 

This position will support the Data & Devices Finance Team in preparation of annual budgets, Quarterly forecasts, monthly Risk & Opportunities and the Strategic plan. The analyst will prepare weekly/monthly reporting, variance analysis and assist with the co-ordination and consolidation of deliverables to Segment and Corporate FP&A.  Position requires interaction with multiple levels in the organization across Sales, Engineering, G&A and Manufacturing Operations. The analyst will have a significant impact on providing accurate, insightful and timely financial reporting, driving an efficient forecast process and monitoring of key performance measures using TEOA-F tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, review and distribution of daily, weekly & monthly performance reports
  • Prepare & consolidate monthly and quarterly forecast and reporting and annual budget
  • Support DND Finance, Engineering and Management team where required with BU and Corporate submissions, ad-hoc projects, requests and presentations
  • Provide support in the forecasting, reporting, preparation, review and tracking of capital expenditure requests and depreciation
  • Prepare, consolidate and support to the Product Management (PM) and Marketing teams with budgets, forecasts and actuals, including general accounting as required
  • Proactively identify and communicate PM, Marketing and Business Unit risks & opportunities, through variance, bridges & decision support.
  • Proactively apply TEOA-F principles in order to continuously improve financial processes
  • Must be accountable and display a sense of ownership & integrity around reporting & analysis
  • Must have a willingness to learn the business and apply knowledge to forecasting & budgeting processes
  • Must work well with all departments – encourage exchange of information and knowledge 
  • Must display initiative and commitment in solving problems, for example, obtaining root-cause explanation for variances 
  • Must be organized and complete analysis & reports on time.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in progressive financial analyst, accounting, or financial planning & analysis roles. 
  • Must have experience and understanding on how to forecast the P&L and Balance Sheet. General accounting and plant accounting experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in solving complex problems leveraging established quantitative and financial modeling skills to accurately identify the root-cause of the problem/variance 
  • Skilled Excel user with SAP, Hyperion and Data Warehouse experience a plus.
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, intuitive, have problem solving skills, strong oral & written communications skills, solid organization and planning skills and a team player
  • Present insightful analysis and articulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Must have core values of integrity, accountability, teamwork and innovation
  • Must take initiative, be assertive & agile, and have a high level of energy
