Job Overview
At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Global TEIS Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:
Working within Digital Engineering Solutions (DES), a corporate IT organization focused on defining and establishing a landscape of integrated engineering systems.
Understanding how our businesses design, manufacture and introduce new products and how they should be managed throughout their lifecycle using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Consult and partner with users and engineering managers to understand their needs and how our existing PLM systems can be leveraged to meet those needs.
Responsibilities
At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:
Consult with business unit engineering teams to evaluate PLM system needs and challenges, find solutions and work to implement them.
Document needs, challenges, proposed solutions, and best practices.
Engage with global team members to accomplish the above points.
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Have earned a high school diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology (IT) from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
• Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.
