Job Overview
Responsibilities
Develop PLC, HMI, and C++/C# based software for automated systems.
Identify the vision hardware and develop software for the vision systems.
Specify electrical components used in the automation equipment.
Condition and install machines at TE sites including domestic and international ones.
Complete prototype building and product testing in association with design engineers.
Accurate estimation of the number of hours needed to complete an assignment.
Display customer focus and be accountable for the quality and timeliness of own work.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5-8 years of proven experience as an electrical/controls engineer in manufacturing industry.
Minimum education of BS in electrical engineering. MS is preferred.
Proficient in programming PLC/HMI of multiple brands including Omron, Allen Bradley, Yaskawa, Proface, and Siemens.
Must be familiar with communication protocols such as serial, Modbus, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP etc.
Must be experienced in specifying vision hardware and developing software using different vision systems including Cognex, Keyence, Halcon, Epson, etc.
Experienced in generating electrical schematics using CAD software.
Experienced in programming different brand robots including Epson, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, etc.
Experience with mobile robots (AGV) is a plus.
Experience with Machine Learning and AI Algorithms is a plus.
Experience with Solidworks and Creo is a plus.
Must be willing to work in a dynamic environment where priorities change rapidly
Talented, motivated and committed individual who has related education and skills to be a controls engineer.
Must be familiar with electrical wiring protocols and best practices.
Comfortable operating within team environment.
