Job Summary
Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) is a corporate IT organization focusing on defining and establishing a landscape of integrated engineering systems with an understanding of how our businesses design, manufacture, and introduce new products and how they should be managed throughout their lifecycle.
DES seeks an Enterprise Systems Analyst to join our Customer Success and Value Realization Team. This role will be focused on our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, with the goal of helping our engineers get the most out of them. It will involve consulting and partnering with users and engineering managers to understand their needs and how our existing PLM systems can be leveraged to meet them.
This is a growth-oriented position for an individual with entry-level knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems who is eager to learn and collaborate with others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Consults with business unit engineering teams to evaluate PLM system needs and challenges.
- Works with IT teams to determine solutions to business unit engineering team needs and challenges.
- Takes proposed solutions and best practices back to business unit engineering teams.
- Document needs, challenges, proposed solutions, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with global IT and business unit engineering teams across multiple time zones.
- Engage with project teams to ensure that the project team addresses end-user needs, training, and communication when changes are being implemented for engineering systems.
- Engage with support teams to investigate problem escalations and ensure appropriate resolution and steps to avoid repeat issues.
- Engage with software vendors to drive software capabilities that increase the value for engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with PLM systems, preferably in the electrical connector industry and with PTC PLM systems.
- Understand engineering processes and product lifecycle management at a technical and business level.
- Highly motivated self-starter who enjoys challenges and is not afraid to take risks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across IT and engineering organizations at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PTC PLM systems
Knowledge of mechanical design and development processes
Knowledge of Product Data Management tools
Knowledge of IT architecture skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent, focusing on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to read and understand technical documents and document technical concepts in writing and visually. Ability to present the above technical subjects to all levels of IT and engineering organizations at TE.
COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $58,800 - $88,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
