TE Connectivity is seeking a highly technical and strategic leader to manage and develop a growing multi-disciplinary team of Senior System Architects, driving next-generation interconnect solutions. This role is at the intersection of technology leadership, people management, and business impact, ensuring that TE remains a pioneer in high-speed interconnect solutions. 

 

As the Manager of our System Architecture Team within the DDN Business Unit, you will lead a passionate, diverse, and rapidly growing team of talented system architects and engineers, including mechanical, thermal, electrical, signal integrity, power integrity, and system experts. You will also work closely with OEMs, hyperscalers, and industry partners to align TE’s technology roadmap with market trends and customer needs. Your role will be pivotal in driving leadership excellence, fostering professional growth, and ensuring effective stakeholder management. 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and People Development: 

  • Mentor and develop a diverse team of system architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. 
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individualized development plans. 
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization. 

Stakeholder Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key OEMs, customers, and industry leaders to understand their evolving technology needs. 
  • Influence executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to invest in new technologies and products. 
  • Manage technical cooperation with customers and coordinate with TE’s internal development engineering team to ensure alignment with customer expectations. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Lead and motivate multi-discipline teams, including mechanical, thermal, electrical, signal integrity, power integrity, and system experts. 
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and excellence. 
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among the geographically dispersed team. 

Project and Program Management: 

  • Oversee high-value development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. 
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. 
  • Drive strategic initiatives that align with the DDN’s goals and customer needs. 

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management; a dual degree in business or MBA is a plus. 
  • 8+ years of technical experience and a minimum of 1 year in leading multi-disciplinary teams in the compute and/or networking industry. 
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a geographically dispersed team. 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills with external customers, industry leaders, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Willingness to travel 25%-30% of the time.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $126,400 – $189,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
