Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Test Planning Manager to lead the strategic planning, coordination, and forecasting of all testing activities across multiple product lines—focused on high-speed data connectors, power delivery products, and ATE-based validation systems for AI data center solutions.
This leader will create and manage a centralized test planning dashboard that links:
            •    All active and upcoming projects
            •    Detailed test plans, validation matrices, & qualification requirements
            •    Industry and compliance standards
            •    Test equipment availability and readiness
            •    Sample quantities and material readiness
            •    Lab resource constraints
            •    Test capacity forecasting for Bangalore
This role requires a strong technical leader with exceptional organizational skills, cross-functional influence, and the ability to drive clarity and execution in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Job Requirements

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related).
•    20+ years in test engineering, validation planning, program management, or ATE system coordination.
•    Proven experience building test execution plans, validation matrices, or qualification programs for complex hardware systems.
•    Demonstrated success creating or managing dashboards, planning tools, databases, or capacity models.
•    Strong leadership presence—able to influence across R&D, Product, Operations, and Executive teams.
•    Excellent communication, risk management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
•    Expertise in data organization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau etc.).
•    Knowledge of capacity modeling, resource algorithms, or predictive analytics.

Nice to Have Qualifications
•    Experience in AI data center hardware, cloud infrastructure, or hyperscale interconnect systems.
•    Familiarity with ATE development, lab management systems, or automated test frameworks.
•    Exposure to PLM, MES, and ERP systems for test readiness tracking.
•    Certification in PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies.
•    Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Test Planning & Governance
•    Develop and own the global test planning framework for engineering, qualification, and manufacturing readiness.
•    Establish standardized templates and processes for test plans, test matrices, and coverage tracking.
•    Ensure alignment across R&D, NPI, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
•    Review and approve all test strategies for new connector systems, high-power interconnects, and ATE-driven validation flows.
•    Lead CAPEX, REVENUE Expenditure Management
Test Dashboard & Data Infrastructure - Architect and maintain a centralized test planning and scheduling dashboard integrating:
•    Active project list and timelines. Detailed Test Plans, Industry standards and compliance requirements, Required test equipment and instrumentation mapping
•    Sample quantities, BOM dependencies, Lab capacity, scheduling, and resource utilization
•    Implement automated alerts, dependency tracking, and risk indicators to improve test readiness. Partner with IT or data teams to build backend data pipelines, analytics views, and capacity models.
Test Equipment & Resource Forecasting
•    Define and maintain a long-term test equipment roadmap based on: Product pipeline and complexity, High-speed and high-power test requirements, Equipment utilization, bottlenecks, and lifecycle
•    Forecast additional lab space, ATE systems, personnel, and calibration needs.
•    Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast updates to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with Test Engineering, Hardware, Software, Reliability, Operations, and PJM to ensure alignment of test readiness with program milestones. 
•    Drive early identification of risks (equipment constraints, sample shortages, schedule conflicts) and lead mitigation planning. 
•    Serve as the single source of truth for executive-level reporting on test capability and readiness.
Leadership & Process Excellence
•    Lead and mentor a small team of test planners, analysts, or coordinators. Drive continuous improvement in test planning processes, dashboards, and communication mechanisms.
•    Champion a data-driven culture with emphasis on metrics, transparency, and accountability. Ensure documentation, processes, and dashboards comply with audit and quality expectations.
