Job Overview

Supervises the simulation engineering team, coordinating projects and ensuring accurate and effective simulation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategy / road map for Simulation team.
  • Demonstrated AI technology development using simulation and product development principles
  • Manages a portfolio of new and on-going projects, using good project management skills.
  • Evaluate mechanical, electrical, electromechanical and thermal performance of product designs and processes
  • Analysing product performance, manufacturing and failures in products using CAE tools
  • Designing, modelling and simulating products throughout product development lifecycle in line to manufacturing processes, supplier production processes and NPD engineer requirements
  • Proposing SW integration projects to create multi-physical models that target TE product design needs
  • Mange outsourced simulation activities from external vendor resources as needed
  • Develop vendors / technology partners for complex simulation techniques or methods
  • Develops proposals for new projects and enhanced TE modelling and simulation capabilities
  • Creates awareness across TE of the modelling and simulation capabilities. Works with local, and regional TE sites and external customers to address urgent or strategic needs

Skill Set and Profile

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in the field of Finite element simulations.
  • Sound knowledge on CAE Tools i.e. ANSYS, ICEPACK, AEDT, Flunet, StarCCM etc. in Electrical, Structural, Dynamic and Thermal simulations is a must.
  • Hands on experience with Multiphysics and coupled field analysis is added advantage
  • Awareness on Electrical Analysis, Signal Integrity and Power Integrity for Electronics hardware is desired
    • Knowledge on LS-Dyna, Simufact or Moldflow will be an added advantage
    • Should know the basics of FEA and able to create hand calculation to verify the designs.
    • Correlation of FEM results to Lab reports
    • Should have knowledge on Plastics manufacturing processes.
    • Highly motivated to be a good team player
    • Fluent in English both written and spoken; additional knowledge of another language (e. g. German, French) is an advantage
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Culturally sensitive

Qualification and Experience

  • B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Industrial Engineering
  • M.E. (Mechanical / Polymers / Plastic technology) will be added advantage
