Job Overview
The Manager, Supply Chain – Inventory Lead for the Americas region, with regional responsibilities, is accountable for driving inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across multiple sites. This role ensures efficient and compliant inventory operations, monitors regional supply chain performance, identifies risks, and leads initiatives that optimize cost, service levels, and material availability.
This position serves as a regional subject matter expert, partnering with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, digital transformation, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
• Ensure accurate inventory levels across all warehouses and distribution points through cycle counting, audits, and system reconciliation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee inventory transactions within ERP/WMS systems, ensuring accuracy and process alignment across countries.
• Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory; define mitigation and disposition strategies.
• Strengthen inventory governance, standardization, data integrity, and compliance across the Americas.
Regional Supply Chain Performance
• Monitor regional supply chain KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide strategic recommendations to reduce risk, optimize costs, and improve service performance.
• Coordinate and report on critical regional performance indicators including:
o Inventory levels & turnover
o Overdue reductions
• Support supply chain alignment through knowledge sharing, best practices, and cross regional collaboration.
Strategic Programs & Continuous Improvement
• Lead programs and initiatives to improve key strategic supply chain KPIs.
• Execute Lean/Continuous Improvement activities to standardize processes and optimize material flow.
• Use advanced planning systems to improve demand visibility, customer delivery performance, and inventory health.
• Participate in standardization efforts, digital initiatives, and process harmonization projects.
• Support lead time reduction programs and manage mitigation plans when performance deviates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Sourcing, Planning, Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Finance to ensure end-to-end alignment on inventory strategy and supply chain execution.
• Enable effective communication across functions to support product launches, demand changes, engineering changes and end of life.
• Work with Sales and Product Management to understand product transitions, demand patterns, and revenue requirements that impact inventory.
• Partner with Sourcing/Procurement to ensure suppliers support replenishment strategies, lead times and minimum order quantities.
• Align with Planning teams to support forecast accuracy improvements, safety stock strategies, and replenishment optimization.
• Ensure all stakeholders are informed of risks, shortages, aging inventory, and recovery plans.
Team Leadership
• Lead and develop teams responsible for inventory activities, including analysts and master data analyst.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance management to ensure operational discipline.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
