Job Overview
As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Financial Controller will foster a culture of strategic alignment, drive performance, mitigate risk, and provide data-driven insights to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the strategic financial management, reporting, and leadership of the manufacturing site, aligning with TE’s Purpose, Strategy, Values and Behaviors.
This role will oversee cost accounting, standard costing, financial closing and reporting, annual operating plan, internal controls, fixed assets, inventory management, and other ad hoc analysis.
Job Requirements
•Serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, developing and communicating strategic objectives to achieve sub-functional results and drive overall site performance
•Establish and enforce sub-function policies and practices that drive a strong internal control environment over financial governance, compliance, and operational excellence
•Track and report actual performance vs. forecast and present on monthly performance reports/metrics to senior management in the US and Europe
•Communicate, drive, and monitor the site’s productivity performance and work with the site operations team to drive continuous improvement across the business and improve cost efficiencies across the site.
•Coordinate cross functionally to prepare quarterly forecasts for the plant in line with Corporate timelines
•Lead the management of site fixed assets by overseeing physical inventories, impaired asset assessments, and depreciation forecasts in line with Procormer regulations; Manage capital budget including capital expenditure requests
•Ensure ERP system (Epicor) reflects accurate standard costs and perpetual inventory records, ensure inventories are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and adequate obsolescence reserves are maintained
•Maintain strong financial governance, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures and lead strategic initiatives to enhance financial processes
•For New Product Introductions work closely with Local and Global Engineering Teams to ensure product Launch on Target Cost and Launch on Time.
•Lead a team of two high performing direct reports while fostering relationships to leverage talent pipeline from local shared services and cost academy teams as well as other TE factories
•Other duties and tasks as assigned.
What your background should look like
•5+ years in a relevant position, with significant management and leadership experience
•Experience in a manufacturing cost accounting environment, demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise
•Proven track record of fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture
•Experience in developing and communicating strategic objectives, driving sub-functional results, and leading strategic initiatives
•Experience working in a global environment is preferable but not mandatory
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
•Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent professional certification is required
•Fluent English
