Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing cost management for China Automotive Business Unit across 6 manufacturing plants (Output >1B USD). Key responsibilities include leading the annual standard cost update process, conducting cost analysis, and serving as the cost lead for stakeholders. The position requires strong expertise in cost management, advanced analytical skills, proficiency in SAP and the ability to support operations in enhancing cost efficiency and ensuring financial accuracy.

Job Requirements

1. Annual Standard Cost updates and Interim cost changes & cost release: Lead the annual standard cost update process for all six plants, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group policies and internal controls. Manage interim cost change, new material cost release and material cost reactive.

2. Cost analysis and Communication: Conduct detailed cost analyses (including PPV, POV, and spare parts) and act as the primary cost liaison between operational departments and the finance team to ensures clear communication and alignment on all cost-related matters.

3. Internal business: Act as a Finance Business Partner, overseeing the financial closing and cost analysis for the non-standard manufactory center (Mold&Die).

4. VAVE Cost Saving Verification: Manage the validation of cost savings generated from VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects.

5. S/4HANA Implementation Support: Actively participate in the preparation and execution of SAP S/4 migration, including data validation, testing, and user training.

6. Digitalization: Coordinate and manage digitalization projects aimed at process optimization, workflow streamlining, and productivity enhancement.

7. People management: Foster effective team communication and knowledge sharing through regular meetings. Cultivate an open and developmental culture that builds internal talent and enables independent, high-impact contributions.

8. Ad-hoc Responsibilities: Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as required. 

What your background should look like

 1. Bachelor degree or above, major in accounting or finance.

8 years+ of progressive experience in costing within a manufacturing environment.

2. At least 3 years in a managerial role with demonstrated leadership and team development skills.

3. Hands-on experience with SAP (FICO) and familiarity with S/4HANA is preferred.

4. Fluent in English (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.

5. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.

6. Willing to undertake monthly travel within the province as required(regular 1-2 days per month).

7. Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to perform under pressure.

8. Strong focus on process analysis and operational optimization.
