Job Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supports new product introduction (NPI), process validation, capacity planning, and operational excellence initiatives aligned with Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement systems, and ERP/MRP integration.
The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Product Engineering to ensure production readiness, process capability, and compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ISO, API, NAVSEA, ESD, or customer-specific requirements depending on product line).
This role will be located onsite in our Katy, TX facility.

Job Requirements
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Assist with product qualification efforts
- Create and maintain standard work, routings, and work instructions
- Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis
- Support layout design and workflow optimization for production areas PFMEAs
- Support tooling design activities
- Identify and eliminate waste using Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, PFMEA, etc.)
- Drives results through collaboration, influence and direct reporting relationships
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues and peers
- Interacts and/or negotiates effectively with external and/or internal individuals
- Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive business initiatives
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
- Welding experiece is a plus
- Able to deliver quality results with minimal oversight and direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others of diverse backgrounds
- Willingness to shift priorities as business pressures demand

We Value:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, molding, etc.)
- Experience within the subsea Oil & Gas or DOD industries
- Experience fiber optic and electrical connector cable assemblies
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks Preferred)
- Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $82,900 - $123,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
