Job Overview

Support prototype cable assembly shop operations by creating and maintaining build packs for customers and internal prototype orders. This role translates RTS requests and order requirements into complete BOMs, verifies material availability, coordinates replenishment when parts are not available, and ensures prototype orders are ready for execution.

The role is responsible for maintaining accurate build documentation, supporting material readiness, coordinating inventory needs, and organizing production work according to established business priorities. When priorities are unclear or conflicting, the role works with the appropriate prioritization team and stakeholders to obtain direction.

Job Requirements

  • Create, maintain, and release build packs and BOMs from RTS requests and prototype order requirements.
  • Review prototype requests and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy, coordinating resolution of missing or conflicting information with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and verify material and tooling availability to support prototype order execution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and internal stakeholders to resolve material shortages and initiate replenishment activities as required.
  • Organize prototype orders for execution based on established business priorities and material readiness, escalating priority conflicts and questions to the appropriate stakeholders when needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and shop operations teams to ensure accurate and complete build documentation.
  • Maintain planning and inventory data and support continuous improvement of build pack, inventory, and material management processes.
  • Monitor prototype workload, material status, and order readiness to support project schedules and customer delivery commitments.

What your background should look like

Years of Experience: 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience

Core Skills / Expertise Microsoft Office, communication, organization, interpretation of technical specifications and drawings, and ability to work with SAP and DocLink; SAP was classified as desirable, not mandatory

Preferred Backgrounds: Experience with connectors and cable assembly as preferred backgrounds; manufacturing experience described as desirable, not required; familiarity with TE products, especially data connectivity product lines, was also described as desirable

Education / Certifications (if mentioned): Education in an engineering field, preferably mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or engineering technologies;
