Job Overview
Responsible for manufacturing process over its lifecycle from design to mass production stage. Participate in conceptual design of processes to make a product to achieve timely delivery, quality and cost objectives. Continually improving the process towards its entitlement by eliminating waste, making it safer for production team members
Job Requirements
- Developing production improvement goals; recommending suggestions for improvements to management.
- Evaluating unfinished products and components; recommends quality and production improvements.
- Analyzing statistics related to production efficiency, safety measures, and resource usage; research on effective ways of research with regards to cost saving.
- Designing and evaluates plans for implementing manufacturing equipment, technology and resources to meet goals.
What your background should look like
- Deep experience involving automation for discrete manufacturing
- Deep experience with mechanical manufacturing processes involving assembly lines, mold/die manufacturing
- Overall minimum 10 years manufacturing engineering experience operations experience involving product development and sustaining
- Extensive experience working on new product launches
- Highly proficient with lean manufacturing, six sigma, RedX methodology with practical experience implementing them in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of core manufacturing processes (precision automation, mechanical parts manufacturing process such as machining, additive manufacturing, stamping, plating, manual assembly, molding, welding, …)
- Working knowledge of DFM, PEMEA, FACA, etc.
- Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills, accountability, integrity, and customer focus.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, results focused environment.
