Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is part of our Maintenance Team supporting our Medway Plant. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a multi disciplinary team with strong Electrical, Mechanical, CNC, and Facilities skill sets. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, overseeing facility systems (including HVAC, electrical , plumbing, and utilities), and driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Job Requirements

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day to day breakdowns, troubleshooting, and service activities across the Connectors Assembly & Machining facilities.
  • Direct and coordinate unscheduled repairs for CNC machines, HVAC units, forklifts, production equipment, and facility systems.
  • Plan and oversee preventive and condition‑based maintenance for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

People Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop the Maintenance Technician Team, promoting technical cross training (HVAC, electrical, CNC, plumbing, forklift, etc.).
  • Lead with a “hands on, lead by example” approach while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Set performance goals, schedule activities, and track team progress using KPIs.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize:
    • CNC machines (lathe, mill, multi‑axis, robotic integration)
    • PLC systems and motor drives
    • Electrical distribution systems (LT panels, circuits, controls)
    • HVAC systems (industrial cooling, air handling, ventilation)
    • Forklifts & material‑handling equipment
    • Plumbing systems (piping, valves, fixtures, drains, compressed air lines)
  • Perform routine & periodic equipment inspections to ensure maximum reliability and machine life cycle.
  • Analyze MTTR, MTBF, and downtime data to implement permanent corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead CI initiatives using Kaizen, SMED, Lean Six Sigma, 8D, TPM, and other methodologies.
  • Identify repeat failures and implement sustainable preventive measures.
  • Monitor and respond to Maintenance KPIs, proposing improvements to drive uptime and efficiency.

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Oversee plant utilities:
    • Generators
    • Compressors
    • HVAC systems
    • Electrical distribution
    • Forklifts & battery‑charging systems
    • Plumbing, fixtures, and civil maintenance
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for proper equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare specs for purchasing materials, tools, and spare parts; maintain accurate inventory.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and support capital planning for equipment and facility upgrades.

What your background should look like

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, E&C, E&E, Mechanical, or related).
  • HS Diploma with substantial relevant experience will be considered.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of proven Maintenance leadership experience in an industrial or machining environment.
  • Strong technical experience in:
    • Mechanical & Electrical systems
    • HVAC maintenance & troubleshooting
    • CNC machinery repair and optimization
    • Forklift and material‑handling equipment maintenance
    • Plumbing systems maintenance
  • Proven experience working across complex production environments and switching between multiple technical disciplines.
  • Experience with PLC controls, motor drives, and CNC controls.
  • Knowledge of TPM, preventive maintenance systems, and reliability tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in Office applications and maintenance software .
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to justify and present projects.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,500 – $138,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
