Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of production machinery and facility systems in a medical manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, CNC, HVAC, Forklift Maintenance, and general facility upkeep. The technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and support safety and compliance initiatives to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

Job Requirements

·    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and support machinery. 
·    Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including machine controls and automation components. 
·    Maintain and repair HVAC systems to ensure proper climate control and compliance with environmental standards. 
·    Conduct forklift maintenance and inspections; maintain operator safety standards. 
·    Support general facility maintenance, including plumbing, lighting, and structural repairs. 
·    Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime. 
·     Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. 
·    Promote and adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and hazard identification. 
·    Collaborate with EHS team on safety projects, inspections, and environmental compliance tasks. 
·    Operate and maintain tools, lifts, and other mechanical aids safely and effective

What your background should look like

·    High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or vocational training preferred.  
·    5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, CNC, and HVAC systems
·    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and machine diagrams
·    Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing machine controls and automation systems
·    Forklift maintenance experience, 
·    Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
·    Computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting 

 

Physical demands and work environment

Ability to lift up to 60lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise , moving machinery, and varying temperatures
Must be able to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.  
Must be able to work independently throughout facility providing proactive and preventive maintenance support.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $64,300 - $96,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
