Maintenance Team Lead/Trainee

Overview: this role can be considered a mentorship opportunity for the right individual who is seeking a challenging and rewarding career with a high growth organization.

This role will offer the right individual the opportunity to be given training on Commercial HVAC/ Electrical/ MHE equipment. The person in this role will be offered a 6-9-month training program to develop their skill-sets to allow them to eventually be considered for a Maintenance Supervisor II role. The person who accepts this role will be expected to commit to training/certification in OSHA 30 and Forklift Operation and this list is not exhaustive. The person will be mentored by a highly skilled TE Employee who is looking to transfer their skill-sets to the individual selected for this role.

Manage a 160,000 sq foot Distribution center including; HVAC, electrical distribution, conveyors, MHE equipment, security and fire systems.  Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities are to ensure and monitor safety in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with established company, environmental and government regulations.



What your background should look like:



  • Candidate must have an AS Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Technology or equivalent with 1-5+ years of progressive maintenance and leadership combined experience including 1-5+ years of Environmental , HS experience.
  • Candidate must have Technical writing skills.
  • Candidate needs considerable knowledge of standards, methods, principles, practices, tools and equipment used in maintenance trades.
  • Must have documented knowledge and experience relating to Electric motors, Controllers, Mechanical Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and other applicable plant equipment.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Mean Time to Failure and TPM programs preferred.
  • University degree or equivalent level of qualification in safety, health, or an environmental discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a site.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Individual must be a “Team Player” that can work in a fasted paced environment with multiple changing priorities.  
  • Must be proficient in the English language.
  • OSHA 30 (or willing to be trained/certified) 
  • Forklift Certification (or willing to be trained/certified)
  • Preferred:
  • DOT HazMat or Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
