Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Second Shift hours, 12:00 - 8:30 PM, Monday - Friday. 

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities: 

  • Performs basic electrical work involving simple circuits, such as installing or repairing drop cords, outlets and other electrical work wjere knowledge of the electrical code is not necessary, or performs more difficult wiring where the employee is instructed in the procedure and/or performance. Replaces fuses, light bulbs, ballast, starter switches and other simple electrical components.
  • Performs basic plumbing work and installs or replaces simple air and waterlines as directed, will assist in major plumbing installations.  Repairs and replaces faucets, washers, valves and cleans clogged pipes or drains and similar repairs.
  • Performs rough carpentry work to repair floors and walls and construct simple wooden structures, such as forms, skids, storage racks and tables where accuracy or appearance are the prime consideration. Assemble purchased cabinets and storage racks as required.
  • Performs simple equipment repairs, such as replacing hydraulic oil lines, switches, fuses, fan belts, and under direction, will assist to tear down machinery and equipment for repair.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and general good appearance of plant equipment and machinery.  Cleans equipment to remove dirt, oil and grease, paints or retouches paint as required.
  • Performs other plant maintenance functions as directed, such as patching cement floors, replacing tiles, window panes, mounting blinds and painting or touching up factory walls.
  • Assist tradesmen to move and install plant equipment.
  • Operates forklift truck to move material and equipment, as required to load or unload company or vendor trucks.
  • As required provides instruction and training to various operators in minor maintenance techniques and preventative maintenance.
  • As necessary, will workovertime as needed in order to insure PADC is properly staffed.
  • Must be a team player, working well with others while trying to reach the common goal of the maintenance department which is higher quality of work while striving to minimize time.

 

Education:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent.

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of two years experience in the maintenance field in a distribution center or manufacturing plant.

This position is second shift- Monday- Friday 12:00-8:30 PM
