Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Material Handlers support smooth, efficient production by ensuring timely and accurate movement of materials between the warehouse and manufacturing areas. They maintain kanban supermarkets, deliver factory orders, perform SAP transactions, conduct cycle counts, and help resolve inventory discrepancies to keep materials flowing without interruption. Material Handlers also handle receiving, returning finished goods, removing scrap, and maintaining organized, 5S‑aligned work areas. This role directly supports Lean initiatives by reducing waste, improving material availability, and contributing to continuous improvement of material flow processes.

 

1st Shift 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday. 

Job Requirements

  • Receive incoming materials from suppliers, including unloading, verification of quantities, inspection for visible damage, and accurate SAP receiving transactions.
  • Transfer materials between warehouse and production areas in accordance with kanban signals, factory orders, and production demand.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials requested by production to the correct operation or point of use, ensuring timely support of production schedules.
  • Return finished goods or excess materials from the production floor to the warehouse, completing required SAP movements.
  • Collect, transport, and properly dispose of scrap and non‑production materials from production areas to designated warehouse or disposal locations, ensuring all handling follows safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain all production floor supermarkets, including stock rotation, replenishment based on kanban triggers, labeling accuracy, and organization in alignment with 5S standards.
  • Perform routine cycle counts of warehouse locations and on-floor supermarkets; investigate and help correct inventory discrepancies using SAP.
  • Monitor consumption patterns and escalate material shortages, overstock conditions, or process abnormalities to supervision.
  • Assemble, verify, and deliver factory orders to production lines, ensuring all required materials, documentation, and components are included.
  • Coordinate material flow for changeovers, ensuring the right materials are delivered and obsolete materials are removed promptly.
  • Execute required SAP transactions, including goods receipts, material movements, and adjustments related to cycle counts or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for material movements, shortages, damaged materials, and inventory adjustments.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, including order picker and other material handling and warehouse equipment as required.
  • Follow all safety, ergonomic, and material handling procedures, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Support Lean initiatives, including waste reduction, standardized work, 5S, and root-cause problem solving.
  • Participate in kaizen events, inventory accuracy projects, and process improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills; SAP experience preferred
  • 5S skills – able to maintain a neat and orderly work area
  • Lifting ability – able to lift 35 lbs regularly
  • Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday
  • Detail oriented – quickly and accurately distinguishes part numbers, batch numbers and quantities
  • Hours – willing and able to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • 1-3 years experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $37,100 - $55,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
