Job Overview

Assists more senior engineers in implementing manufacturing techniques, processes, tools and machinery in order to optimize quality and output levels.

12 Month Contract 

Job Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in the manufacturing process.
  • Drive engineering solutions to achieve Right First-Time principles, yield improvements, and minimize complaints.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools, collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Cultivate Exceptional Customer Experience (ECE) for internal and external customers, meeting project commitments.
  • Support New Product Introduction in collaboration with Prototyping/NPD teams.
  • Manage Overall Equipment Performance (OEE) through Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, installation, validation, and process development.
  • Resolve quality and technical issues to minimize impact on product supply and support CAPAs, NCs, and audits.
  • Develop and manage SOPs, manufacturing standards, and operations in compliance with protocols.
  • Manage CAPEX for new equipment, evaluating technology for competitive advantage and cost benefits.
  • Uphold high-quality standards compliant with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements.
  • Cultivate relationships with key technology providers and manage variable workloads effectively.
  • Maintain SOPs, documentation, and deploy technical training within the Business Unit.

Key Requirements

  • Preferably experienced in Medical Device manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles and statistics; familiarity with Minitab software advantageous.
  • Skills in SolidWorks/AutoCAD advantageous.
  • Dynamic, motivated, results-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO & FDA compliance

What your background should look like

  • Engineering degree (Level 8) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
