Job Overview
The Fabrication Supervisor manages and oversees fabrication activities within assigned department(s) to ensure manufactured components and assemblies meet quality, cost, safety, and delivery requirements. This role is responsible for leading fabrication teams, optimizing fabrication processes, and maintaining strong employee relations through fair, consistent, and compliant people management practices.

Responsibilities
- Provides full supervisory leadership, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, career development, discipline, and resolution of employee concerns in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Promotes a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment.
- Directs fabrication activities in alignment with production schedules and established priorities, ensuring effective utilization of fabrication equipment, tooling, personnel, and materials.
- Oversees day‑to‑day fabrication operations for assigned shift(s), using documented planning and control methods to respond to changes in demand, capacity constraints, material availability, or quality issues.
- Works closely with Manufacturing Engineers (ME’s) to identify and implement alternative fabrication methods, process improvements, and cost‑reduction initiatives supporting continuous improvement objectives.
- Partners with ME’s to support fabrication leads and operators in the interpretation of work instructions, fabrication methods, prints, and the proper use of fabrication equipment, ensuring procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
- Maintains a working knowledge of fabricated components, materials, fabrication processes (e.g., machining, welding, forming), and related quality requirements.
- Collaborates with Engineering and ME’s to recommend the design, development, and improvement of fabrication tooling and equipment, including fixtures, jigs, gages, and inspection devices for new and existing products.
- Leads regular Tier or shift meetings with fabrication leads to reinforce safety expectations, production goals, quality standards, and teamwork.
- Escalates and coordinates with Engineering and Quality on fabrication, tooling, and product issues to ensure production‑capable tolerances and timely disposition of nonconforming material.
- Participates in TEOA or continuous improvement initiatives to support fabrication efficiency, quality improvements, and new program introductions.
- Understands, supports, and enforces quality policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
- Supports overtime and flexible scheduling as required to meet business and customer demands.

What your background should look like
- Associate degree or higher in a technical or engineering discipline preferred / HS diploma or GED required
- Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with hourly production employees and all levels of management
- Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as required by the role

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $73,903 – $81,812 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
