Sets up and operates machines and tools to perform various manufacturing operations and maintains them to adhere to quality standards.

Job Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION: The description below covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the requirements assigned to this job, or jobs of lesser requirements.

  • Set up a normal range of operation on a wide variety of parts using a variety of machines including, but not limited to, drill presses etc. Supply stock and remove parts when operations are completed. Responsible for proper set up including installation and adjustment of safety devices. Perform production work. May deliver or obtain material and equipment to/from any department and return same to stock. Clean a variety of relays or parts.
  • Work from sketches, drawings, templates, or layouts. Maintain records for production control and advise when stock is low. Responsible for selection of correct stock and the storerooms in machine shop departments
  • Must be able to read blueprints and utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments to check parts to verify compliance to quality specifications.
  • Requires knowledge of specialized and diversified material carried in the stockroom, and ability to interpret and fill in requisitions for tools and material. Is responsible for maintenance of die and tool condition and reordering as required.
  • Be able to use measurement tools including, but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and height gauge.
  • Perform diversified assembly on a variety of products. This involves a considerable number of parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors. May requires use of hand and power tools.
  • Be able to operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility. Train other employees as needed.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $42,057 – $44,824 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
