Job Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for all production departments within the plant. They ensure the attainment of the operational goals in the production area. They manage all production operations and ensure compliance with all relevant policies of the area, including production, inspection, quality, storage, maintenance, environment, safety, resources, and security. Responsible, in close cooperation with the site manager, for meeting production schedules, shipping schedules, maintaining quality, controlling manufacturing costs, implementing continuous improvement and promoting good employee and community relations within their area.
This role will be located onsite at our Mansfield, OH facility.
Job Requirements
- Manage the production teams by objectives – based on strong KPIs follow up, drive team spirit, lead organizational changes in production area, and increase the skill level of production workforce.
- Contribute to the establishment of adequate operations budgets – under close cooperation with the Site Manager – and make sure budgetary limitations are respected.
- Responsible for maintaining quality policies in the manufacturing area and for increasing manufacturing quality performance to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of products and services.
- Responsible for the safety and security of all employees in the manufacturing area and ensures that plant safety rules are followed.
- Contribute to the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) on local level.
- Support the professional growth of employees by identifying key players and proposing actions aimed at motivating people.
- Actively contributes in developing local talents through training, coaching, and facilitation.
- Ensure employees are skilled and trained according to the latest standards.
- Provide strong leadership to Production Department Managers to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives
- Keep all production employees informed about KPI’s status and targets
- Conduct daily audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure all safety, quality, and process standards are being followed
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related
- 7+ years’ experience working at a manufacturing or engineering organization, to include leadership experience
- General project leadership experience
- General knowledge of financial terms and concepts
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience a plus
- Must be proficient in English language

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,000 - $181,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
