TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager has the responsibility of managing inventory, planning and the logistics operations to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction with control over costs and resources.  Position is responsible for; inventory management through Kan Ban systems, negotiating costs for new existing components, planning and distributing raw materials to meet Company objectives. This position directs the daily activities of the Purchasing and Materials Handling functions while ensuring full compliance to FDA QSR (21 CFR 820), and applicable ISO 13485 requirements.



•    Controls optimum levels of inventory through Kan Ban systems to ensure on-time deliveries. Meets customer requirements while minimizing carrying cost and transportation changes

•    Negotiates for new suppliers, new materials, and processes, to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, and delivery.

•    Develops standards for materials management including appropriate levels of safety stock, in-process inventory and finished goods. Provides operating methods to handle creation and disposition of obsolete inventory.

•    Responsible for administering appropriate procedures for both the Materials and the Material Handling function.  

•    Oversees and supervises physical inventories.
•    Enters in online commercial system the cost, supplier information, and conversion metrics for all new part numbers created.  Creates and maintains BOM’s.

•    Will assist the Material Review Board to ensure products are appropriately disposition within a timely manner, while ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are initiated and regulatory requirements are met.

•    Ensures that kits are put together.

•    Assists in developing shipping schedules.

•    Manage shipping and receiving activities and personnel.

•    Looks for improvement areas in order, shipping and receiving processes and implements.

Qualifications & Competencies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in relevant area,  Five (5) – eight (8) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
