Job Overview

At TE we strongly believe that data and analytics are strategic drivers for future success. We are investing significantly in building our advanced analytics team. The Analytics team at TE is part of the TE Information Solutions (TEIS) Organization and is responsible for driving organic growth by leveraging big data and advanced analytics. The team reports to the VP and Chief Data Officer at TEIS, works closely with the SVP of Corporate Strategy, and has regular interactions with the company’s C-Suite. The Supply Chain Analytics Product Owner position will directly report to the Director of Analytics.

We are on an exciting journey to build and scale our advanced analytics practice. In this position you will be working with various business units to understand supply chain challenges and identify analytics solutions (business intelligence & artificial intelligence) to address these challenges. You will also drive adoption of developed analytics solutions and track business value enabled through these solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the business leaders, understand challenges, and identify opportunities where analytics can have tangible impact on their strategic priorities.
  • Develop, own, and drive analytics product roadmaps aligning analytics capabilities with business strategic initiatives, processes, timelines, and funding cycles. Balance short term priorities with long term strategic vision.
  • Scope out analytics use cases, develop convincing business case for each identified use case, prepare business case document, and bring it to qualification and prioritization process to approval to develop new capability or enhancement.
  • Ensure strong adoption of deployed analytics solutions and determine ways to drive continued and increased adoption of solutions. Build strong user communities around supply chain analytics solutions.
  • Analyse product statistics and user feedback to make informed decisions on product roadmaps.
  • Build trust and partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, product management, IT etc) to ensure analytics capabilities are deployed on time within budget and widely adopted.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics or other related quantitative fields

 

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in product management of analytics or software products
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding of analytics/data science
  • Strong experience and understanding of supply chain domain (planning, procurement, logistics, and warehousing)
  • Strong verbal and written communication with experience engaging and influencing senior leaders
  • Ability to seamlessly communicate and translate across business and analytics teams
  • Strong problem solver, ability to get things done while juggling multiple priorities

They prepare project execution plans and identify appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meet technical requirements of the assignment. TE’s IT Project Management Teams remain informed about current advances in the IT Field. They also provide program management oversight and guidance to team members. TE’s IT Project Management Teams also include IT Analysts, who are responsible for supporting key IT processes, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT project management. IT Analysts provide support to our IT Project Management Teams by using their IT skills to implement and support tools and processes needed to meet project management and general IT requirements.
