Job Overview

The Demand Planner as part of the integrated Supply Chain team is responsible for forecast accuracy at a part number level for assigned locations and product lines. They partner with the product management and sales teams in the creation of a consensus forecast and understand any significant changes/exceptions to the demand trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To work with cross-functional colleagues throughout the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) to agree on the numbers to be published for the next months.
  • Monitor the demand plan to actual performance monthly, which includes demand and billings versus projection and forecast accuracy to provide detailed input to tocross-functionall teams.
  • Actively manage demand forecast by region for assigned products adjusting per latest market trends and based on the feedback from our cross-functional colleagues. Use all available tools to ensure proper communication with colleagues (IBP, SAP, Email, etc.).
  • Maintenance of MRP groups for assigned products aligning to MRP policy and/or latest demand trends adjusting safety stock levels accordingly. 
  • Interface with the Supply, Master Scheduling,g, and planning teams on demand issues and process interaction.
  • Preparation of demand management materials for monthly MBR or PLP review meetings.
  • Assist in collaboration with the Customer Supply Chain to continuously improve customer direct forecasts and delivery metrics.
  • Provide support when data is required for all projects in general (insources, migrations, new product launches, PFO analysis, etc.).
  • Consistent attendance, understanding,g and compliance with all TE policies, rules, and regulations.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. APICS certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge of MRP and S&OP processes is preferred.
  • Demand Management, Master Production Scheduling, or Supply Chain concepts understanding.
  • Experience with forecasting/analytical tools such as SalesForce.com, JDA, Xelus, Kinaxis, and SAP would be a plus.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Strong business analytic and data management skills.
  • Experience in working with a global team is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an international environment and willing to travel periodically (short time periods) including abroad if needed.
