Job Overview

The candidate will support maintenance service and repairs at facilities and on manufacturing machinery for assigned area(s).  They will repair machinery as required and actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, and continuous improvement functions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
  2. Know and understand all Safety rules and guidelines to ensure work is performed safely.
  3. Review work orders with resource as they are received, ask for clarification and confer with the requestor for additional clarification when needed.
  4. Originate and process emergency work orders when necessary.
  5. Have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LO/TO policy.
  6. Use computer managed system to find needed parts for repairs.
  7. Maintain written documentation of work performed.
  8. Complete PMs as required both safely and procedurally.
  9. Troubleshoot an inoperable machine or piece of equipment made in house. Work may involve installing, servicing, replacing, and/or repairing any machine or equipment plant-wide, with or without schematics. Exact skills will be based on competencies known and properly trained in. Specifics of this could be:
  10. Calibrate different instrument types.
  11. Operate basic and advanced shop tools as required to maintain or repair equipment.
  12. General cleaning to maintain clean work areas.
  13. Shift to shift communication and with members of the maintenance or operational team.
  14. Ability to work a set schedule.
  15. Willingness and ability to train on new technology.
  16. Trained of cranes, rigging and hoists.
  17. Reads drawings, prints & sketches.
  18. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  19. Ability to prioritize and effectively utilize available resources.
  20. Train others as needed
  21. Works overtime as needed
  22. Other duties as assigned
  23. Forklift Experience.
  24. Hazardous Waste Management.
  25. Ability to drive company Vehicles.

What your background should look like

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience in a maintenance role and familiar on operating machines.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $50,000 – 74,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
