HR Instructional Training Designer & Facilitator (Contract)

Job Overview:

TE Connectivity currently has an opportunity within its HR Solution function for an HR Instructional Designer. 

As an Instructional Designer, you will collaborate, design, and create the content that empowers our global TE team members to deliver an exceptional employee experience.  You’ll also partner with our enablement team and sister teams to deliver this content to our learners in the most meaningful way possible.  You’ll need to be comfortable with ongoing change and learning on-the-fly. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design and proven experience in delivering persona-based learning in both online and offline settings. This role will be focused on upskilling TE’s employees in being able to navigate the process, technology, and data insights to drive action.

You will be reporting to the Enablement Team Leader and work with HR Solutions teams, HR Business Consultants, BI Consultants, and HR Product Owners to turn technical deployments into continuous learning opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Act as a learning partner to identify the best learning modes for launches.
- Translate needs into clear designs and storyboards.
- Scope, prioritize and capture clear statements of work.

- Turn requirements into prototypes to demonstrate clarity of design and purpose.
- Seek feedback and commitment in approach before partnering with your teammates to deliver standard learning content.

Online Learning:
- Define and build an online learning content library.
- Outline clear learning paths based on key user personas.

Offline / Virtual Instructor-led Learning:
- Design and build-out strategy for offline and virtual learning.
- Design complementing material to align to online learning modes.
- Outline scripts and train the trainer playbooks to deliver global offline training at scale. 

- Trial, demo and give input into improving the Tech stack used to deliver learning.

- Coach and mentor your peers to understand instructional design and enablement.
- Help build simple learning experiences to help internal team members and employees.
- Provide break-fix training and outline needs assessments to build standard learning.

Knowledge and Experience required:

- Highly skilled Articulate Rise. 
- Background in instructional design or proven experience developing enablement content.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, work independently and collaborate within a distributed team.
- Skilled in delivering offline training strategies and through virtual instructors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
- Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
- Strong organizational and program management skills with exceptional attention to detail and strong design instincts. 
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with people across geographies, functions, and levels of the organization.
- Experience in HR project management, working on projects that impact the employee lifecycle.
