Job Overview

TE Connectivity Marine, Oil and Gas (MOG) is a leader in the development and supply of a comprehensive portfolio of connectors, fiber optics, wires, cables, switches, and moldings for harsh environments. TE is a $14B global leader in providing specialized componentry to enable electronics in harsh environment applications.  We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to foster our growth in the West Coast territory with Account Management responsibility for our wide range of customers. Prior subsea or engineering experience preferred but not required.

What you will be doing:

The successful candidate will encompass the experience and skills to successfully compete, and thrive, in a highly competitive market, including:


•    Technical experience from either study or hands-on exposure to technical sales
•    Technical sales experience, ideally within the greater Marine, Defense and Oil & Gas industry (ROV/AUV, Ocean Research, Seismic, Yacht/Shipbuilding, Topsides, Fisheries, Downhole, Diving, and or Naval background) 
•    Solutions oriented individual capable of looking not only at the component requirement but beyond to a value-add system solution
•    Strong customer focus
•    Negotiation skills 
•    Support customers in technical, commercial, logistics and quality topics on behalf of TE Connectivity MOG
•    Develop relationships with dedicated customers identifying the decision makers that will be influential to the growth of TE Connectivity MOG
•    Develop new customers and accounts with “Hunter” mentality
•    Work on Market share increase and competitor replacement

What your background should look like:

•    5 Years subsea or related sales experience preferred
•    Bachelor's Degree required
•    Proficient in MS Office programs: PowerPoint, Excel and Word
•    Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
