Job Overview

The Key Account Manager is the outside senior sales person managing all aspects of the business with a strategic customer in a country or region. The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic account plan to drive maximum revenue, account penetration and customer satisfaction. To ensure complying services and project realization the position requires a close working relationship with multiple different functions within TE. It’s crucial to drive cross functional collaboration between Pricing, Quality, Customer Care, Engineering and the sales field resources to exceed customers service and support expectations. 
Business leadership, strategic key account planning and high-level relationship management are some of the major tasks.

Your main tasks:

Develop Customer Relationship: 
-    Increase executive relationships and large-scale opportunities to partner with TE 
-    Sell the value propositions of TE Connectivity’s products and services
-    Understand the customer and the customer expectations/requirements 
-    High level decision making and influencing 
-    Negotiate and implement (global) large contractual agreements (pricing, GPA, logistics, quality,)
-    Own yearly global negotiation process and process improvements
-    Regular interaction with the customer to follow up on quotes, projects, technical specifications, delivery and quality issues 

Business Management: 
-    Develop and execute business plan and account strategy at a global level in line with customers time to market requirements 
-    Drive completion of running opportunities/projects/tenders
-    Review and coordinate project activities and account receivables with account managers 
-    Decision making regarding strategic positioning, product selection and promotion within customer responsibility.
-    Relationship building and strengthening with multiple internal disciplines to ensure satisfactory response to global customer issues (such as logistics solutions, quality complaints responds, pricing, safety stock planning, customer service requirements, product developments.)
-    Research and evaluation of customer market activities, internal and external data (markets, competition, technologies, trends) to understand how environmental, technical, political and other business changes will impact customer needs.
-    Create a solid project pipeline to ensure long term growth.

Other Duties:
-    Internal reporting of projects and other business activities
-    In charge of developing and maintain data’s and elaborate account plan management (APM)
-    Manage the impact of production transfers and complex network of distributors and contract manufacturers to drive end customer service level

-    $ Revenue, Bookings, Market Share, Profitability
-    Customer penetration
 

Your ideal profile:

-    Must have minimum a technical or business degree or equivalent level of practical experience
-    Minimum five years professional Sales and/or Marketing level experience. 
-    Needs a professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
-    Needs a good understanding of technical complexes 
-    An academic qualification in an engineering competence is distinct advantage 
-    Should have had previous experience in account planning and relationship management
-    Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of the TE Connectivity’s technology and product portfolio and the markets they serve
-    High level of written and verbal communication in Dutch and French (mandatory), English language skills 
-    Flexibility in working days and travelling
-    Valid driver’s license
