Why you should join:
As senior EDI Specialist, you will be reporting to Global EDI Manager and will help manage the current ECC landscape and provide strategic direction for S4 migration.
You will be responsible for driving end to end project lifecycle, requirement gathering, stakeholder communication and spearheading conversations with business and external partners to create an efficient EDI workflow and design specification. Provide operational support for mission critical situations.
Your main tasks:
Responsible to Drive End to End Implementation Lifecycle (Requirement Gathering, Estimation, Creation of MRS (Mapping Requirement Specification), Stakeholder communication). Act as a liaison between Business teams and external trading partner EDI teams. With Business acumen and know-how of EDI.
- Perform all phases of analysis including problem definition, solution conceptualization, and tasks needed to complete Trading partner onboarding on Sterling and SAP.
- Create, review & sign off on MRS in conjunction with business and external partners.
- Define EDI workflows (ORDERS, DELINS, SHIPMNT, INVOICE, INVRPT, REMADV etc.)
- Understanding of Scheduling agreements setups. Creation of Partner profiles on SAP.
- Migrating partners from SAP ECC to SAP S4.
- Define and execute on SAP S4 migration strategy.
- Provide operational Support for P1/P2 incidents.
Your ideal background:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP and EDI space combined
- Proven abilities to build complex maps on Sterling Integrator.
- Read & understand customer EDI specifications, write functional (mapping) specs.
- Setting up SAP Profiles (WE20, EDPAR Tables, Output Types).
- Working experience on SAP S4.
- Understanding of Vendor master and customer master.
- Familiarity with SAP batch jobs and ABAP code would be a plus.
- Familiarity with communication protocols AS2, OFTP2, Rosettanet, SFTP, FTPS, SMTP, VAN.
- Strong experience in EDI standards: X12, EDIFACT, VDA, ODETTE, EIAJ, XML Rosetta net and CII
- Must have SAP knowledge, in at least two of the following areas: Sales and distribution, Order to Cash cycle.
- Proven abilities to bridge GAP between business and external parties.
- Knowledge on workings of 3PL and 4PL.
- Troubleshoot IDOC failures and setup proactive monitoring.

- Organizational Structures: Set up sales areas, assign organizational structures.
- Document Types: Sales documents; Inquiries, Quotations, Sales orders, Shipping, Billing
- Understanding of SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes
- Pricing: condition tables, condition types, access sequences, pricing procedures, pricing routines, Rebates
- Document Incompletion: incompletion procedures
- Document Outputs: Output types, output determination
- Master Data: Business Partners, Pricing
