Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining complex industrial equipment such as stamping presses (mechanical and hydraulic), de-reeling equipment, PLC controlled machinery, rectifiers, electrical motors, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, and inert atmosphere ovens. Additional job-specific tasks involve supporting safety and ergonomic improvements, continuous improvement activities specific to lean/5S+1 methodologies and total productive maintenance (TPM).

Education / Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience with industrial maintenance tasks including plumbing, welding, and electrical troubleshooting
  • A technical degree in a related field is preferred
  • Experience performing standard wiring operations to provide power source to equipment
  • Ability to use a variety of electrical measuring instruments such as a voltmeter, ohm-meter, and amp meter and various other checking and measuring devices.
  • Ability to work from verbal instructions, blueprints, and machine manuals.
  • Ability to operate commonly used machine shop equipment and hand tools to repair and fabricate new parts.
  • Will be required to work around chemicals after sufficient training and supply own hand tools.
  • Works safely and takes responsibility for the safety of others
  • Ability to work overtime or extended shifts as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
  • Must possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body movements including climbing, lifting, reaching, stooping, and bending.
  • Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.
