Job Overview
STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III to lead and manage sourcing activities for ACL electronic commodity and other commodities assigned by line manager ,The role focuses on supplier management, new product development support, cost optimization, and alignment with TE’s global sourcing strategies. The Sourcing Analyst drives strategic sourcing initiatives, develops suppliers, ensures quality and compliance with ISO/IATF standards, and supports cross-functional teams to achieve cost, delivery, and performance
targets.
Job Requirements
Sourcing & Supplier Management
· Manage and control sourcing activities for ACL electronic commodities and other commodities.
· Lead supplier development to ensure on-time delivery, material quality, and adherence to TE standards.
· Maintain strong supplier relationships with a partnership mindset.
· Conduct supplier for benchmarking, auditing, and risk assessment.
· Capability to create long-term sourcing strategies for electrical commodities.
· Experience with dual-sourcing strategies and supply continuity planning for critical electrical components.
· Capability to evaluate suppliers’ electrical manufacturing capabilities, capacity, and process control.
New Product Development (NPD)
· Participate in new product development with R&D, PjM and Process Engineering.
· Identify sources for new materials and suppliers to support NPI projects.
· Lead RFQ processes and cost estimations for new components.
· Support supplier selection processes together with cross-functional stakeholders.
Cost & Data Management
· Drive cost-saving initiatives and lead-time reduction aligned with industrial norms.
· Be responsible for supplier/material cost for new items and cost updates.
· Benchmark key commodities regularly and provide market insights.
· Maintain and update material costs and master data accurately in SAP.
· Deep understanding of cost drivers for electrical parts (materials like copper, resin, gold plating, PCB layers, component packaging). · Ability to perform cost breakdown analysis (PCB layer cost structure, labor vs automation, tooling cost, plating cost, etc.).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Exchange information closely with R&D and center LED team.
· Coordinate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and other internal partners.
Projects & Administrative Responsibilities
· Support CAPEX and department expense analysis and preparation.
· Inform stakeholders about sourcing market changes and risks.
· Contribute to sourcing-related improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering or related, prefer Electrical/Electronic.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in direct material sourcing, cost management, and cross-functional procurement collaboration.
- Experience working in a multinational organization is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality, sourcing processes, and industrial standards.
- Basic Understanding of ISO 16949, ISO 9001,ISO 14001.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
