STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures
To manage and lead the end-to-end sourcing, tendering, and procurement processes for construction and facilities-related projects. Ensures the effective delivery of procurement strategies, bid evaluations, cost negotiations, and contract management, while maintaining full compliance with local regulations and TE policies. Need to achieving project cost efficiency, timely contractor selection, and risk management for large-scale construction and facility development projects. Source and commercially manage all related Indirect material and service suppliers.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for construction and facilities projects.
- Prepare tender documents, scope of work, and bid packages in alignment with project specifications and requirements.
- Lead the full bidding process, including bid invitation, pre-bid meetings, bid evaluations, and clarifications.
- Conduct cost breakdown analysis and price benchmarking for construction services and materials.
- Lead commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers to secure best value and contractual terms.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality or scope.
- Manage the pre-qualification, selection, and performance evaluation of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Draft, review, and manage construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance throughout project execution and address any contractual or operational issues.
- Identify procurement risks related to market conditions, contractor reliability, and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with Thai construction regulations, labor laws, and company procurement policies.
- Manage documentation and reporting requirements for audits and project controls.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction market trends, material costs, and contractor capabilities within Thailand.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Legal, and Finance teams to align sourcing activities with project schedules and objectives.
- Prepare procurement status reports, bid evaluation summaries, and vendor selection justifications for management approval.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of direct experience in sourcing/procurement for construction and facilities projects in Thailand.
- Solid track record of managing large-scale construction bidding projects.
- Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken).
Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for construction and facilities projects. - Skilled in supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and procurement planning.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end construction bidding processes in Thailand, including regulatory requirements, BOQ (Bill of Quantity) evaluations, tender document preparation, and bid tabulation analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, permits, licensing, and safety regulations related to construction procurement in Thailand.
