Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

Overview

Responsibility:

  • Coordinate with related process owner to get the term of requirement, Technical specification, and communicate RFQ to potential suppliers
  • Manage, analyze and summarize overall data of IDM Sourcing
  • Create and manage database of approved supplier list for Indirect material
  • Lead the execution of local sourcing projects that deliver a competitive advantage to business, including lead and support supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance  
  • Benchmarking the offer (in Total Cost of Ownership) from different suppliers and market price
  • Review Quotation price, lead time, and match with project schedule
  • Negotiate for cost avoidance and initiate Cost saving project
  • Propose new potential suppliers and new technology
  • Budgetary management for new equipment and service
  • Participate new project kickoff, focus on Indirect material
  • Manage Key supplier evaluation, analyses and summary result for 1st Half and 2nd Half of each fiscal year
  • Part of the supplier selection team
  • Coordinate on Supplier manufacturing service agreement, ensure all requirements are met per user inquiry
  • Other tasks assigned from Superior in which related to IDM Sourcing scope of work
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or similar field.  
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment.  
  • 5 years experiences minimum in management of quality systems, IATF16949 requirements, supplier audits, supplier qualification & supplier development.
  • Be able to operate business trip both local and overseas. 
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System; IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Purchasing / Sourcing / SQE in Machine, spare part background
  • Project Management
  • Understand the risk management by closely working with all supply chain
  • SAP for Sourcing 
  • Supplier Quality System
  • Fluent in English, both reading and communicating (listening, writing and conversation). 
  • Business Negotiation Skills
  • Problem solving skill/Flexible work ethic plus Honesty and Reliability
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure with a short deadline
  • Strong leadership, highly quality minded, high and strong personality
  • Knowledge and experience on problem solving method
  • Knowledge of process audit and experience in supplier process audit in supplier factory
  • Able to cooperate with the technical experts to reach resolution
