STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST I

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Responsibility:

• Request quotation, make comparison price and inform user for new item to issue PR (Purchase request)
• Summary awarded supplier for each item purchase / job / service
• Negotiate with supplier for cost saving, and cost increase avoidance
• Generate new IDM Part Number through Web portal
• Ensure indirect material category are identified correctly through IDM Web portal
• Find new supplier for price comparison
• Check new vendor’s registration documents and ensure it meets IDM Sourcing requirements
• Manage and update supplier database when supplier’s information changed (Bank Account, Address, Company name, contact PIC, etc.)
• Support SAP Administrative function for Supplier / Material cost, all related IDM items transaction
• Other tasks assigned from Superior in which related to IDM Sourcing scope of work

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree (Welcome for new graduated)
• 0 - 3 years of experience in a sourcing area, or similar function in procurement, supplier development.
• Computer Excel, Word, Power point.
• Understand general function of spare parts and facility in order to source supply parts match with function appropriately.
• Positive Thinking
• Basic knowledge on Quality System; ISO9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949
• SAP for Sourcing 
• Negotiation skill0
• Cost Management (Cost-up avoidance / Cost savings)
