Job Overview
Scope:
The Plant Manager is responsible of the optimal use of resources to achieve the plant objectives, quality goals and delivery of the products. It is part of his duties to ensure the good and safe work environment and promote the creativity and enthusiasm of the human resources. Must lead the plant in compliance of the policies, EHS regulations, employee committee/union relationship and government regulatory guidelines.
Objectives:
-Contributes to Operational Strategy: Esp. potential footprint projects
-Managers and develops organization in support of the business strategy.
-Contributes to BU R&D Technical Roadmap.
-Has measurable impact on operating efficiencies TEOA / TEBIT and organizational objectives.
-Ensures continuous IATF and ISO 9001 / 14001 certification
-Develops business relevant innovative solutions; esp. automation to go from manual to more automated production
-Has created of controls the product or process design standard for a key technology used by engineers
-Contributes key elements to the technical roadmap of the organization
-Provides high-level solutions to support technical requirements
Responsibility:
-Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
-Directs a function or multiple sub-functions through managers
-Assures high level of quality of all products is delivered to customers
-Assesses risk and compliance across area of accountability
-Interacts with senior management
-Interaction normally requires the ability to change thinking of and gain acceptance from others
-Influence at the BU level in present role
-Impacts BU level technology and product decisions
-Drives innovation and execution to increase competitiveness in present role at the BU level
-Builds a culture of agile adapting that responds to environment changes
-Mentors and coaches employees of the site
Education:
BA in Science + MBA or Master degree in Industrial Management / Technical Discipline
Requirements
• Management experience within functional/sub-functional area and knowledge across related functions
• Deep knowledge and experience in area of accountability
• Working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
• Good level of knowledge of the product domain and processes the site is working in.
• Skilled in working on complex technical issues with ability to communicate clearly to management, customers and technical community.
• Worked in automotive manufacturing environment and well knows the IATF 16949 requirements
