Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Manager Cost Controller / FP&A Analyst to drive cost transparency, financial planning, and profitability improvement within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to analyze manufacturing costs, monitor budget performance, improve costing accuracy, and identify opportunities to optimize margins. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing costing expertise, preferably from the Electronics or Automotive industry, with a deep understanding of BOM, inventory valuation, standard costing, and production cost structures

Job Requirements

Costing & Financial Analysis

  • Own and maintain manufacturing costing models, standard costs, and product profitability analysis.
  • Analyze material, labor, overhead, and conversion costs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform monthly cost variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support product costing, new project costing, and business case evaluations.
  • Monitor production costs and investigate cost deviations from standards.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for manufacturing operations.
  • Track actual performance versus budget and forecast.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.

Inventory & CAPEX Management

  • Support inventory valuation and inventory cost accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory reserves, obsolete stock, and cost movements.
  • Participate in CAPEX evaluation, tracking, and performance reviews.

Business Partnering

  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvement projects.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Improve costing methodologies, reporting processes, and financial controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. 

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Costing, Cost Control, FP&A, or Manufacturing Finance.
  • Strong background in manufacturing costing within Electronics, Automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing industries.
  • Excellent understanding of:

1. Standard Costing

2. BOM Costing

3. Product Costing

4. Inventory Valuation

5. Cost Variance Analysis

6. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert complex data into business insights.
  • Good communication skills and experience partnering with operational teams.
  • CMA, CPA, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageous.
