Provides support to buyers in day-to-day purchasing transctions and executes repetitive purcheses.
Job Requirements
- Act as a liaison between the organization and commodity suppliers, monitoring market prices to ensure the use of the most cost-effective providers.
- Analyze inventory usage history and market conditions to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Recommend adjustments to commodity purchase schedules based on demand and market trends.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales records, inventory levels, and purchase orders; prepare reports for management review.
- Assist in researching and negotiating purchases, compiling pricing data from multiple suppliers, and preparing formal purchasing documents.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or local equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in English communication skills
