Job Requirements
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the laboratory team, including training employees on equipment, analytical methods, and handling of hazardous substances
- Execution, evaluation, and documentation of all chemical analyses of production and precious‑metal baths using modern analytical methods, including troubleshooting in bath chemistry (titration analysis, Hull cell, UV‑Vis, etc.)
- Calculation, recording, and implementation of all required chemical additives to maintain bath parameters within specified limits
- Responsibility for correct declaration, storage, and documentation of chemicals and hazardous substances, including regular review of operating instructions (BA) and safety data sheets (SDS)
- Ensuring, organizing, and documenting all maintenance and calibration intervals of laboratory and production equipment, including pH meters
- Performing gravimetric precious‑metal analyses, dry tests, and monthly precious‑metal balances, as well as monitoring cyanide strippers
- Inventory management and organization of chemical storage, definition of minimum stock levels, and procurement of chemicals and consumables
- Creation and maintenance of relevant risk assessments, operating instructions, and complete documentation of all laboratory results in the CAQ system
- Planning, development, and delivery of internal trainings as well as support for continuous improvement processes
What your background should look like
- Completed degree in chemical engineering or technical vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician, CTA, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in series production, ideally on fully automated production systems
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to quickly grasp and assess complex chemical‑technical correlations
- High level of personal responsibility and initiative, as well as the ability to communicate errors and root causes clearly, structured, and comprehensibly
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
- Confident use of MS Office as well as practical experience with MES systems (e.g., Hydra) and SAP
- Solid knowledge of UV‑Vis spectrophotometry and gravimetric analysis
- Experience with ICP analysis (Inductively Coupled Plasma)
