SR MGR CONTROLLER
Job Overview
Responsible for several Luxembourg legal entities and leader of the corporate finance function by building trust, maintaining communication, meeting internal and external deadlines, developing and enhancing processes to support and control the activity.
Tasks
Lead and support the finance team members and liaise with the FSC.
Manage general ledger and closing process
Financial accounting, including accounts payable, bank transactions, public debts, month and year-end closings, financial controls
Monitor the subsidiaries valuation process and produce financial statements and interim accounts
Reporting to Corporate Accounting Management and Board of Directors.
Regulatory reporting – BCL – and tax reporting – monthly and annual VAT returns, corporate income tax returns.
Comply with internal policies, regulations and best practices. Update the local procedures.
Work closely with auditors to complete external and internal audits
Financial Planning and Analyses, including budgeting and forecasting and explanations for variances to budget
Validate and supervise the booking of bank accounts, public debt, commercial paper, financial instruments journals
Participate in internal and global ad hoc projects to ensure processes alignment across the group
Manage HR, IT and Facilities locally and report to these functions heads outside Luxembourg
What your background should look like:
Qualified accountant eg MBA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
At least 10 years of proven experience and increasing responsibility in accounting/Finance and in process management and improvement
Excellent leadership skills: builds effective teams by creating trust
Good understanding of multicultural working environments
Experience of new accounting and controls systems implementations
Good SAP knowledge
Strong knowledge of Lux gaap and US gaap
Highly motivated, excellent communication skills, organized, able to work with minimal supervision, results oriented, energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality. Advanced analytical skills and ability to get into the details, while seeing and understanding the big picture. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and projects – prioritization of competing deadlines, planning and delegation
