Production Operator III (2nd shift) (PIDG-Faston Assembly)

Job Overview

Shift:  2nd (2:45pm - 11:15pm, Mon-Fri) 10% shift differential

Department: PIDG-Faston Assembly

As Production Operator III, you will;

  • Sets up and adjusts complex automatic or semi-automatic machines that perform cut-off, insertion, clinching, or forming of material to produce a completed part.
  • Responsible for ensuring continuous operations by performing readjustments, fixing jams, and misfeeds.
  • Performs in-process quality inspection and testing using but not limited to comparator, micrometers, dial calipers, microscopes, rulers, and gages.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components on manufacturing machinery, replacing parts as needed.
  • Responsible for in-process and final inspection of terminals to ensure that QIP specifications are met and that product is processed to print requirements.
  • Responsible for performing routine Preventative Maintenance on machines.
  • Responsible for preparing finished parts to be taken by Material Handling.
  • Responsible for retrieving component parts from warehouse roller racks and transport by hand truck or other material handling devices.
  • Ability to run multiple machines at the same time.
  • Assist in training other associates on an as-needed basis.
  • Flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.

What your background should look like:

Experience/Education:

  • Experience with manufacturing machine set-up.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and print reading.
  • Will work overtime to support production goals as needed
  • A safety/quality conscious attitude working in a team environment.
  • Prior knowledge of RBY-splice machines is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
  • Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.
