Waste Treatment Operator II (5th shift)

5th Shift: Friday – Sunday (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Shift premium: 22%

Department: Waste Treatment

As Waste Treatment Operator, you will;

  • Properly operate and maintain the waste treatment system to ensure compliance with discharge regulations. 
  • Perform chemical analysis
  • Record and maintain detailed records regarding waste treatment for compliance purposes and safety
  • Ensure waste treatment coverage to maintain safety of the plant and regulatory compliance by being part of the waste treatment team
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Occasionally work overtime

What your background should look like:


  • Demonstrated ability to operate waste water treatment equipment OR three (3) years recent experience with electroplating plating operations. 
  • Mechanical ability required for basic pump and pH meter maintenance activities. 
  • Thorough, working knowledge of chemical safety. 
  • Familiarity with chemical analytical techniques. 
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate and resolve problems in a proactive and reactive manner. 
  • Ability to follow documented work instructions. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate activities with other functions and shifts.
  • Ability to document and maintain detailed records of process parameters for regulatory compliance.
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.



Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
  • Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.
