Job Overview
Monitors, sets up, and maintains machines and equipment in the production line, ensuring the feeding of raw materials as per schedule, making minor repairs, and testing finished materials for compliance.
Job Requirements
- Operates with minimal supervision; receives limited instruction on routine work assignments and may determine methods and procedures for new assignments
- Interaction involves obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function/department or items of a sensitive nature
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Duties and tasks are varied and complex. Uses hand tools, adjusts, operates, and/or performs set-up on automatic or semi-automatic machines.
- Performs advanced functions as part of development. Requires considerable judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks
What your background should look like
Education / Experience:
- GED/high school diploma is preferred
- High energy, self-motivated, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment
- Uses ability as a skilled specialist to complete complex tasks by using considerable judgment and initiative; develops and applies creative/resourceful methods to complete work as appropriate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience interacting with mechanical systems
- Proficient with the use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators for dimensional inspection of materials
- Proven record of using inspection data
- Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately set up and assemble products
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to work complex assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
- Ability to read and write English
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs safely & dependably
- Must be able to carry 30 lbs safely & dependably
- Push/pull a minimum weight of 180 lbs safely & dependably with the assistance of a hand dolly
- Job has repetitive handwork
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and balancing throughout the shift (8-10 hours) is required in this job.
- Able to work in an uncontrolled climate (excessive heat)

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $52,800 - 79,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
