Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

 

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and rebuilds.  Revise existing maintenance PM checklists to eliminate recurring breakdowns.
  • Complete maintenance work requests using computer maintenance management software and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring downtime.
  • Support engineering and continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Assist with machine guarding improvements, LOTO audits, and projects to improve safety.
  • Work under minimal supervision, referring only most extremely complex issues to higher levels. 
  • Support the deployment of lean manufacturing and participate in focused rapid improvement (Kaizen) events.

 

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

 

What your background should look like:

  • Technical trade school degree preferred. 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician with a focus on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment from verbal instructions, blueprints, and machine manuals.
  • Strong organizational and written skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Must possess good physical dexterity and have the ability to perform manual tasks and body movements including climbing, lifting, reaching, stooping, and bending.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Shift hours: Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as required.  (training will be on 1st shift for up to 3 months or longer)

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $48,100 – $72,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
