Job Overview
The Laboratory Plating Technician is responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring metal plating processes used to coat parts, test samples, or materials. This role ensures consistent quality, adheres to strict safety and environmental standards, and supports laboratory experiments or production workflows involving electroplating.
Job Requirements
- Perform routine bath analyses, including pH checks, titrations, metal concentration, and contaminant testing.
- Accurately document all test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Adjust plating parameters (e.g., concentrations, pH) to meet required specifications.
- Clean and maintain laboratory work areas, tanks, tools, and instrumentation.
- Ensure proper maintenance of plating baths, equipment, ventilation systems, and fume hoods for safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of chemicals and ensure proper storage.
- Prepare and label chemical solutions in compliance with laboratory standards and safety protocols.
- Support R&D activities and evaluations through experimental plating trials and optimization testing.
What your background should look like
- Graduate of a diploma course (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Licensed Chemical Technician.
- Minimum of 1-year related experience.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
