Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Plant Director is responsible of leading the full scope of his/her location as well as to ensure the implementation of TE AUT’s strategy.He/She actively drives implementation of TE AUT’s standards, using TEOA & Lean Manufacturing concepts. Her/his operations related decisions are closely aligned with all other functions, manages plant operations and ensures compliance with all relevant policies, is responsible for meeting production schedules, shipping, maintaining, quality, controlling manufacturing costs, implementing continuous improvement and promoting good employee and community relation


  • Manage the team, (manage results oriented, based on strong KPI’s follow up, drive team spirit, coordinate transversal activities, lead the organizational change, increase the skill level of work force, build a work force with flexible skills to meet changing product needs, focus on employee satisfaction)
  • Actively contribute to the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating key employees. Develop talents and future leaders.
  • Direct and mentor staff of managers and leaders, provide feedback on performance and developmental planning.
  • Ensure adequate operations budgets are established with close cooperation of EMEA management.
  • Lead Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) on local level.
  • Is responsible for the safety and security of all employees in the facility and ensures that plant safety rules are followed.
  • Overall responsibility for the proper utilisation and maintenance of TE assets and property.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as all TE policies and procedures at the plant.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality policies and for increasing the plant quality performance to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of products and services.   
  • Provide strong leadership to Department Managers in order to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives.
  • Federate employees to feel part of one team and of TE Connectivity.
  • Energize employees and involve them to make TE a great place to work.
  • Ensure effective communication to keep all employees informed about KPI’s status and targets.
  • Represent the plant interests locally to outside parties and in forums.


  • B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive industry
  • Proven accomplishments utilizing OpEx and Lean tools/methodologies (Six Sigma BB, Tool Champion, DOE, GR&R, FMEA, PDCA etc.) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, strategic and tactical thinking, and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong team formation and leadership skills
  • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation
