MGR I SALES

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in alignment with TE Japan ASEAN Automotive, global account teams, capabilities and strategy. The sales manager plays in leading Automotive business and growing major car maker & CAM accounts in Malaysia and assigned key accounts in overseas. The sales Manager also plays a pivotal role in setting on account growth plan, strategic direction and execution plan for responsible accounts, and control on key finance measurement such as profit & margin, ensure that all booking and billing meet yearly budget plan. With a commercial focus, the sales manager also leads team & responsible for promoting, marketing, selling TE product line up in automotive ‘s product, maintain & enhance customer relationship to ensure the customer satisfaction and delivering superior on products & services

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for selling TE’s products & service support, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts

  • Drive sales strategy, execution and talent (SET)
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and to develop personnel/team
  • Drive, report, monitor key metrics to achieve sales KPI which aligned with organization goal, which are new business wins (TERP) new project pipeline to meet 5 years strategy plan for ASEAN, revenue plan, strategic key program, account receivable collections, revenue forecast accuracy and other business-related drivers.
  • Promote and accelerate business win with territory customers by TE Thailand plant by local products
  • Negotiate customer terms and conditions (Price/Quality/Delivery/Service cooperation)
  • Leverage knowledge of Automotive Market to drive development and implementation strategies for the assigned Territory accounts
  • Develop budget and forecast for assigned accounts of car maker & CAM, and across report Account Managers
  • Liaison for customer specification and requirements, to support development of new product offerings, by coordinate with related function team such as product Manager/ Project Manager/ Quality Engineer
  • Closely working with GAM (Global Account Manager) to drive territory accounts to ensure that align with global account strategy
  • Provide high level customer service and consultative selling skills to ensure maximum revenue, profitability and territory growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer
  • Maintain a high level of awareness in regard to industry trends and competitive activity within territory
  • Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies. Effectively communicate with all other region automotive team members to promote the business needs of territory to foster growth.
  • Support ASEAN sales team, if need escalation and negotiation to the assigned OEM

 

KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Admiration or Engineering
  • Male/Female
  • High degree of integrity, Teamwork, Innovation and Accountability
  • Able to work in cross cultural especially in ASEAN countries & Japan
  • Preferably at least 10 years of sales experience, and with 6-8 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people
  • Strong working knowledge vehicles, connection systems, and vehicle architectures
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proven skills in developing/implementing strategies in support of market segments, customers and products consistent with the overall business plan
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation and computer skills (i.e. Power Point, Excel, Word, Salesforce, SAP and other tools)
  • Must be ambitious, exhibit strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, including international travel
