Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acquisitions - acquire a new project from the scratch
  • Administrate project database 
  • Discover improvement opportunities for existing projects.
  • Prepare documents for management-level decisions, including reports and presentations
  • Work within the core team from the start-up phase to the serial production, including work with TE Project and EP&C systems, 
  • Be the decision-maker in every part of the project specification review: drawings, technologies, layouts, offers, calculations, sample production, test results, open points lists... 
  • Take part in gate reviews and other project decisions.
  • Implement new projects including cross-functional team coordination and vendors’ coordination.
  • Create project specifications and other draft documentation
  • Negotiations with vendors, review of offers, assessment of capabilities at suppliers
  • Establishing of the project plan, co-ordination of FMEA, Flow Chart, Control Plan, Work Instructions and other documentation
  • Design reviews, Open point list and action plan co-ordination
  • Machine acceptance at vendors or other TE sites
  • Care about availability of components, packaging material, logistical operations, tool transport
  • Customer‘s audit preparation co-ordination
  • Co-operation with other TE teams including foreign plants, written and spoken communication, data exchange, business trips

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree: University degree in the technical field (mechanical engineering preferred)
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal):  About 2 years of experience in a similar position, experience in project management

  • EU Citizenship

Language requirements:

  • English: B2
  • Czech or Slovak: C1

Candidates without proper language skills will be automatically excluded from the interview process

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Project management system
  • Statistical approach – Six Sigma methodology, Red-X, or similar



  • Advanced knowledge of technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of CREO 4.0
  • Basic knowledge of designing single-purpose machines 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Standard tools – Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project

Advantage skills:

Points extra:

  • Knowledge of EP&C would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of DM.TEC is an advantage 
  • Knowledge of CPR (Contract Performance Report) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of TE Project SharePoint will be an advantage
  • Experience in the automotive environment is a huge advantage
