As part of the Global Finance team, the Global Procurement Controller role provides financial support to improve profitability, works with the regional & global procurement management team to ensure proper controls are in place for continuous productivity improvements and drives efforts for elimination of waste. In addition to helping improve operational performance, the role will be responsible for forecasting/budgeting results, reporting actuals, variance analysis and financial controls.  The role reports directly to the Director Finance Operations with a strong dotted line to the Procurement Director.

Your main tasks

  • Provide premier business partnership with regional & global Procurement management
  • Responsibility for quarterly forecast, annual budget and strategic plan for direct material spend and material productivity
  • Responsibility of monthly reporting package for direct material spend and material productivity with follow ups and recommendations for corrective actions and improvement opportunities
  • Analysis, support and approval TEBIT projects for Material Productivity as well as financial contact person for TEBIT
  • Business Analytics in close cooperation with functional partners
  • Lead communication and support of any internal or external audit visits related to Procurement activities
  • Ensure strong internal control environment is maintained and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures for all aspects of Procurement
  • Ad-hoc requests and presentations for regional and global management
  • Development of new internal processes and analytical reports to improve information sharing with internal customers
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial and operational performance: preparation of financial forecast/budget reporting, track financial performance, foster improvements proactively 
  • Ad-hoc projects and requests by business unit management, segment management, corporate FP&A team or greater TE

Your ideal background

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in Finance in a manufacturing company.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding and ownership of initiatives for improvement in process controls and procedures.
  • Must be highly organized and be able to work on multiple projects that will vary widely in scope, size, and type.
  • Ability to deal with, and effectively navigate an ever-changing environment with a matrix reporting structure.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory
  • Experience in supporting or regular interaction with various management levels.
  • Strong skills in verbal, written, and presentation communications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency. Strong spreadsheet skills (MS Office applications) required.
